This product is only available in higher strength form with a prescription. There are a number of conditions which prohibit the use of NSAIDs, including this and other Diclofenac treatments. You should always check with a registered practitioner before you buy any NSAID to ensure that they are suitable for you, and always read the instructions supplied.
Allergies to anti-inflammatories preclude use, and a history of heart problems, kidney or liver dysfunction, or gastro-intestinal bleeding may do so as well. Side effects may include: gastrointestinal problems, such as bleeding or cramping; liver and kidney toxicity; tinnitus; or allergic reactions. The information provided here is not comprehensive. For a full list of side effects, restrictions and safety information, consult the leaflet provided or ask your prescriber.
