Logynon
Logynon is a contraceptive tablet. It contains two agents, ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, which work in a similar way to naturally occurring hormones in the body, oestrogen and progesterone. These agents prevent women from becoming pregnant by working in three ways: stopping the release of eggs from the ovary; making conditions in the uterus less conducive to egg development; and thickening vaginal fluid to make it harder for sperm to travel inside the womb and reach an egg.
This treatment comes with very particular application instructions which must be followed carefully. As with any contraceptive, this product is not 100 per cent guaranteed to prevent pregnancy.

This product is not suitable for everyone. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use it. Disclose your full medical history to your prescriber before purchase and use. A doctor may not issue this treatment to persons who are allergic to any containing ingredients, at high risk of developing blood clots, obese, or are heavy smokers over the age of 35. Persons who suffer or have suffered from inflammatory bowel disease, blood problems, depression, cardiovascular problems, certain types of heart or respiratory problems, diabetes, gallstones, jaundice, liver or kidney problems, certain types of cancer, chloasma, high blood pressure, otosclerosis, angioedema, migraines, lupus, porphyria, sickle cell anaemia, vaginal bleeding or a number of other conditions may also not be able to use this treatment.
