Brevinor

Brevinor tablets are a contraceptive treatment. They contain the ingredients ethinylestradiol and norethisterone, which are synthetic agents designed to mimic the function of the female sex hormones oestrogen and progesterone, respectively. In the body, these ingredients work by altering the process of menstruation, preventing the ovaries from releasing an egg during the menstrual cycle. They also help to thicken natural mucus in the womb, thus making it more difficult for travelling sperm to reach the egg. Contraceptive treatments, due to their ability to lighten menstrual bleeding, are also sometimes prescribed to relieve menstrual pain.
